Introducing Every Door Direct Mail®

Are you looking to grow your business and reach thousands of homes or businesses?

Look no further than Every Door Direct Mail® (EDDM). At Creative Graphics Lab, we offer EDDM printing services that save you time and money while helping you target your local neighborhoods effectively.

EDDM is a service provided by USPS that allows you to reach out to specific neighborhoods based on demographics such as average age, income, or household size. It’s an affordable and efficient option for small businesses, local organizations, and anyone looking to conduct a mailing campaign without the need for extensive mailing lists.

Why choose EDDM printing?
Here are some key reasons:

  1. No need for mailing lists: With the mapping tool, you can simply provide your target street, ZIP code, or city, and it will provide you with available routes to send your postcards.
  2. Cost-effective: EDDM costs only around 19¢ per piece, which is significantly cheaper than standard or First-Class® postage at approximately 48¢ per piece.
  3. Easy local outreach: For small businesses, EDDM allows you to promote your products and services to nearby neighborhoods that are likely to benefit from them. It’s a simple and effective way to attract more foot traffic to your stores.
  4. Flexible options: EDDM postcard printing offers various sizes and materials to suit your specific purpose and budget.

At Creative Graphics Lab, we have a team of expert graphic designers/marketers, dedicated to ensuring your postcards are EDDM-ready.

Ready to get started with EDDM?
Follow this step-by-step checklist:

  1. Order your postcards at Creative Graphics Lab and pay for your order. Choose the size, and quantity.
  2. We will design your postcards and you will receive a free digital proof.
  3. Since mailing lists aren’t required, the postcards will be addressed to “Local Postal Customer.” However, we must include a postal Indicia in place of a stamp. We can add our Indicia for you if you do not have one. Here’s an example of how the EDDM address notation should look.
  4. Once you approve them, we will start production and notify you once your postcards have been mailed and are on their way to your prospects.
  5. Monitor (track) the response of your campaign.
  6. Repeat your campaign every 2 or 3 months.

If you have any questions about EDDM printing, don’t hesitate to call us at 661-339-2719. We’re here to assist you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

A: EDDM and direct mail are both forms of mail advertising. EDDM targets receivers based on location, ZIP code, or city, without the need for a purchased mailing list. It aims to reach as many people as possible in a specific location.
On the other hand, direct mail is a more targeted approach that focuses on a specific list of recipients who may not be located in a single neighborhood. It aims to reach a more specific audience. In business, EDDM is convenient for customer acquisition, while direct mail is commonly used for customer retention.

A: Size 6.5″ x 9″ is one of the most popular sizes for Every Door Direct Mail. It’s compact and often used to communicate special sales and discounts. If you want to make a big impression, size 8.5″ x 11″ postcards are EDDM-ready and provide more space for your message. They work best when introducing your business for the first time, as they stand out in the mail.

A: Both 14 pt. and 16 pt. cardstock options are durable, but 16 pt. cardstock is slightly thicker. Our 14 pt. cardstock is a popular choice because it’s lightweight and can be coated with gloss, matte, or high-gloss UV finish, providing added protection.

For EDDM postcards that will be sent through the mail, we highly recommend choosing 16 pt. glossy or matte cardstock. Its increased thickness will protect your postcards from getting creased during the mailing process.
